Schools, we are looking for your most creative students to produce a short 90 second or less video illustrating the importance of IT disaster recovery planning. The sky is the limit and the funnier, the better! Videos can incorporate actual people, Animation, CG, Claymation, etc.- be creative!

Here's Steve with an introduction to the contest:

VIDEO THEME
The Importance of IT Disaster Recovery. If you are unfamiliar with IT Disaster Recovery, here's a quick definition:

"Establishing practices toward preparation for recovery or continuation of technology infrastructure critical to an organization after a natural or human-induced disaster."

Businesses and Schools run IT infrastructure for email, applications, accounting and so on. What happens when these systems are compromised due to power loss, hardware failure, disasters, viruses, etc.? How long can an organization afford to have these systems down? What if data is lost- what would that do to a business or school? So, IT Disaster Recovery is putting in place practices to reduce or eliminate down time of IT systems and protect data from loss. Below are some links to information on the Indiana Data Center and Data Center Services that are utilized in IT Disaster Recovery practice.

INFORMATION
Please take some time to review our website. There is a lot of information that should help you understand Indiana Data Center and services available to assist organizations in IT Disaster Recovery. Pages to review specific services include:

Colocation- Where organizations host their physical IT infrastructure in the data center. This could be primary infrastructure or a secondary system that would take over in the event the primary would go down.

Virtual Servers and Cloud Computing- A great alternative to physical infrastructure.

Data Backup & Recovery- Protecting data from loss.

Data Center Brochure- An overview of the data center and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
